Cristina Calvert schoolmaster

Cristina has worked in events for all of her adult life. She began by working as a catering company’s wedding planner for high-end weddings. This experience captivated her and made her realize how magical a wedding day truly can be. Then, she moved into learning how the back of the house is run well in catering. As she worked an event attended by Oprah she saw first-hand the opulence of a spectacular event, no detail is to be left untouched. This was a motivating experience that led to the birth of Cristina Calvert Weddings.
Most planners begin in ballrooms, whereas Cristina began underneath tents. This has equipped her to build weddings and events from the ground up with walls, flooring, lighting, and all of the comforts necessary to turn an outdoor celebration into one that feels as though you are somewhere enchanted. Having been exposed to five-star resorts and luxury experiences, Cristina has an understanding for the art of customization for clients and creating a one-of-a-kind experience for guests. Furthermore, being raised and trained in formal etiquette from an early age, she is well-versed in both traditional and modern day wedding protocols. Most importantly, Cristina has an essence about her that allows her to connect with her clients and make them feel comfortable around her so there’s a level of trust in their relationships that’s unmatched.
Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Cristina now lives in Potomac with her husband Justin, their golden retriever that they call “Charlie,” and they will soon welcome their first child. When she’s not working, Cristina loves adding stamps to her passport, collecting cookbooks, brushing up on Italian language, being outside by the water, decorating her new home, and spending time with friends and family.
